What is Counselling?
Counselling is a way of addressing problems by exploring personal feelings with someone who, whilst supportive, is not directly involved in the situation.
A Counsellor will:

listen carefully to what you have to say

help you to express your feelings

help you to explore and understand your difficulties

help you to find ways of managing these more effectively
Confidentiality
Counselling takes place under strict conditions of confidentiality and generally nothing you discuss will be disclosed to anyone without your permission. this is explained in detail at your first session.

How often and how long do I need to come to Counselling?
When you first come to counselling you may wish to come every week. As time goes on you may come once a fortnight or once a month. It is your choice. Counselling continues for as long as you and/or your counsellor feel it is necessary. It could be for just a few weeks or for a few months

Kay is committed to helping others to create a better life for themselves. Her experience as an educator has given her a special interest in counselling children and adolescents. Kay has previously worked as a counsellor at DRUG ARM, as a Telephone counsellor for Lifeline as in a counselling role in an Ipswich non-profit organisation.
